Many cameras were specifically designed for this programme with versatility being the key in their creation. Crew experience proved invaluable in many difficult situations throughout filming.  Locations and shooting environments used throughout the series' have included Leicester Square, Various Shopping Centres, Green Grocers, The Eiffel Tower, Karate Schools, Motorway Truck Stops and The Thames Ferry Barge.  Below are some of the rigs used on this programme.

1 x 50' for Channel 4 (Pilot)

This show posed difficulties through the length of the operation.  To hold the sting for a whole weekend, our operators and technicians had to draw on all their experience. We used CVX18 Remote Head Cameras, Pinholes, Digi / DV Hides and Toshiba TU48 Cameras on this project with great effect.  Mobile hides and Covert Vehicles were also employed.   Great communication and over-lapping teams were essential as our subject had to remain completely mobile.

To Catch a Thief - Lion TV

This security make over show posed many rigging problems for the BPTV crew. Using up to 15 Cameras, Toshiba TU48's, Pulnix Lipstick Cams, PD170's and Pinhole Cameras, we rigged real houses for attempted break-in's. The main difficulties over the series proved to be the environments in which we had to rig with the crew having to work around personal effects and delicate furniture.

Oblivious - Tiger Aspect

Covert filming for this game show utilised many hidden camera techniques.  Crew hides, cameras hidden into clothing and cameras rigged into set locations enabled us to cover complicated set-ups with relative ease. Surprize was of the essence and this meant our kit and crew had to stay absolutely covert.

8 x 30' for ITV Network

Format: BetaSP / DVCAM

A variety of mounts and cameras were used to shoot links on a huge variety of vehicles, from high speed police cars to roller coasters.  Although in a controlled environment, the cameras still had to be very securely rigged for the rigorous nature of filming, the safety of the cameras was our main concern during filming.
