National Treasures in High Definition - The Treasures of the National Trust are seen as never before in this brand new documentary series.  Shot entirely on HD this 10 part series is to be premiered as part of Sky's HD launch.   Locations such as Ham House, Hardwick Hall, Homewood House, Castle Drogo and Waddesdon Manor are featured with truly amazing results.   Nigel Havers narrates and non HD viewers can still watch the programs on the usual Artsworld channel.  DOP was Jon Woods, he was assisted by Ian Pearce.  They used the Sony 750 High Def Camera with Canon Lenses and the Panasonic 17" flat screen monitor

 

World Cup Party - Blue Planet entered the world of the beautiful and famous when several of our crew filmed the Beckham's World Cup Party for Granada Factual, the program aired on ITV1.  The “Full Length and Fabulous Ball” featured many of the World Cup Team and an array of celebrities from film and TV, the event raised millions for charity.  Roy Estabrook, Jeremy Hewson and Mark Bond led the Blue Planet camera team whilst Steve Bowden, Matt Lygo and Keith Branch recorded sound.  Camera assistant on the day was Ian Pearce.

Time Trumpet - Blue Planet regular Jeremy Hewson has just finished as DOP on the new Armando Iannuci project " Time Trumpet" for the BBC.  The satirical series, written by the man behind the multi award winning "The Thick Of It" and "The Day Today", will look back on Show-Biz, News and Entertainment events of the next 50 years from the perspective of a TV show set in 2050.  The new 6 part series will air on BBC2 this summer.  Jeremy was assisted on the project by Ian Chisholm and sound was recorded by Keith Branch.

Catherine Tate Series 3 - After the success of the second series, two BAFTA nominations for Comedy Performance / Comedy Programme, and a nomination for Best Female Comedy Performance at the Rose d’Or, The Catherine Tate Show is back.   John Sorapure was DOP, on the recently wrapped shoot, with Geraint Owen and Matt Wicks as camera assistants. Expect more great characters and some wonderful sketches from the queen of british comedy.   The Catherine Tate Show is due to air this summer.

 

Bo Selecta hits the USA - Bellyache Productions and Blue Planet have just returned from LA where they have been  filming the next installment in the life of Avid Merrion and the infamous Bear, Bo in the USA.  Leigh Francis returns this summer with more cutting edge comedy.  All the usual characters return with many more wonderful creations and some fabulous guests.  Pete Rowe was DOP, sound recordist was Joe Walters and camera assistant, on the 6 week shoot, was Alistar Upcraft.

Dead Ringers Series 5 - John Calshaw, Jan Ravens and Kevin Connelly are back on BBC2 with more wonderful impressions in the new series of Dead Ringers.   The show, which originally aired on BBC Radio 4, has transferred seamlessly onto the small screen and this series continues to deliver the laughs.   John Sorapure was DOP on the series, he was assisted by Geraint Owen and John Dunster.  The UK Hidden Camera was overseen by Jackson Jessop.

Alpine Shooting - Blue Planet has just returned from Europe after filming the documentary “The Curse of the Ice Mummy”.  Lion Television are producing this fascinating film which looks at the discovery of Oetzi the 5300 year old Iceman.  Mystery has surrounded the discovery after 6 people, involved with the find, have died mirroring the discovery of Tutankhamun.  The mummified warrior priest was found in the Austrian Alps in 1991.  DOP on the project was Will Jacob and sound was recorded by David Ferguson.
